It's such a simple change, but it looks SOOOO much better now. I've been doing this to all of my stuff recently, but I'm just starting to get the values right.

what do you use to draw pictures like this? it doesn't look like anything I've ever used.

This was drawn in photoshop with a Wacom Bamboo tablet mouse. I drew the basic image first, but then I duplicated it behind the original layer and used a gaussian blur to make the glow effect, then I put a tan transparent overlay layer on top.

and here, i thought it was a simple utensil. but at least it makes sense now. nice job.

Thanks! It may not be a simple utensil, but it is certainly a simple effect to create. I know that I'm not the first to do this set of modifications either, so feel free to use the above recipe.
